Last night we wrapped up our year of small groups with a Block Party. And since we live in Seattle and the weather is unpredictable – it was all inside!

The point was celebration!

1. Celebrating our volunteers! They are pretty amazing and make it possible for us to care for all of the students.

For the last 4 weeks- we have tried to do something kind for our leaders before group started! Rootbeer floats, cookies and milk…last night we ended with a little note!

During the night we had each small group write thank you notes to their leaders! (First, it helps students appreciate their leaders and it also encourages our leaders. Encouraged leaders are committed leaders.)

2. We celebrated what has happened in the last year. One station of the block party encouraged each small group to list the group’s top 5 highlights from the year!

3. We celebrated the summer- and all the amazing events happening! A little snack and a creative presentation of the calendar! Fun times had by all…minus the hole in the wall that came at a super creative moment. Sorry. (If you look closely…you can see the hole on the wall behind the crazy boys!)

4. We started and ended the night with celebrating Jesus…his goodness, grace and kingdom!

What a great end to the year!! And now for summer…
